Our diversity is what makes us Equitable
We take pride in who we are and what we do, treating everyone with respect and dignity. Our differences in thought and perspective, interests, abilities, experiences and skills contribute to our success. These unique differences make us stronger as a team and shape our culture – from how we work, to the work we do, and the roles we play. Building a diverse, inclusive culture is an ongoing journey, and we're deeply committed to consistently evolving.
“Equitable is a company rooted in celebrating our differences. This is not only in keeping with our values, but a business imperative. In order to meet the needs of our unique and diverse clients, we must have a workforce comprised of professionals who both reflect and embrace those differences. We understand the numbers on a financial plan do not add up to the sum of each unique person we are privileged to serve. We believe the quest for a diverse and inclusive organization is a continuous journey, and an integral part of our commitment to building a stronger and more resilient organization for generations to come.”
— Nick Lane, President
“Nothing excites me more than the idea of a more perfect union in our own organization. A union where people of different backgrounds, races, genders, sexual orientations and abilities are better integrated, working together toward common goals with shared values and celebrated, respected differences.”
— Darryl Gibbs, Chief Diversity Officer

Equitable Advisors Diversity Educational Summits
Learning about and celebrating our unique differences is fundamental to our growth and success. The Equitable Advisors Diversity Educational Summits provide an opportunity for our Financial Professionals to grow personally and professionally as they learn about the diverse needs of our clients, share best practices and network.
The Summits are open to all Financial Professionals and the content is focused on the unique needs and interests of diverse markets. Through our Summits we connect people from across the company and truly see the power of coming together and working toward one common goal – how best to serve our clients.
Our employees, leaders and financial professionals understand the value of maintaining a diverse and inclusive workforce. Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), Diversity & Inclusion Advocate Forum and Equitable Foundation work to embed diverse and inclusive practices across our business, creating a place where we help each other face the future with courage, strength and wisdom, and ultimately better serve our clients and communities.
Employee Resource Groups
