Erik Bass is Head of Investor Relations and a member of the company’s Operating Committee. He is responsible for communicating the company’s strategy and financial performance as well as maintaining and expanding relationships with the investor and analyst communities.

A former financial analyst, Erik covered the U.S. life insurance sector for nearly two decades. Most recently, he served as the lead U.S. life insurance analyst and U.S. Director of Research at Autonomous Research, AllianceBernstein’s sell-side research subsidiary, overseeing research coverage across all sectors. Prior to joining Autonomous, he was the U.S. life insurance analyst for Citigroup. He also spent eleven years at J.P. Morgan Securities working in both private banking and equity research.

Erik was recognized by Institutional Investor as a Rising Star for U.S. life insurance on several occasions. He also served as President of the Association of Insurance and Financial Analysts (AIFA) from 2017-2018. 

Erik has a B.A. in Business Economics from Brown University and is a CFA charterholder.
