(NYSE: EQH), today announced Sean George has joined its Wealth Management business, Equitable Advisors, in a new role as the Head of Business Development. George will report to David Karr, Chairman of Equitable Advisors.

In the newly-created role, George will spearhead Equitable Advisors’ experienced advisor recruiting strategy, including building the infrastructure, processes and go-to-market strategy. George’s focus will also include supporting experienced advisors with practice acquisitions and succession planning.
Prior to joining Equitable Advisors, George served as Divisional Vice President of Business Development at Ameriprise Financial, where he spent nearly a decade of his career. In addition, George held leadership roles at Prudential Financial and MetLife. George also spent five years as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. He graduated from Marquette University with a Bachelor of Arts in Law Studies and a Master of Business Administration in Finance.
