Short codes terms and conditions
Program Overview
We (“Equitable,” or “our” or “us”) offer our clients (“you” or “your”) the ability to request certain services via text messaging, including the ability to download insurance identification cards offered by Equitable. We may provide this service through a third party in order to complete your request. We or our service provider may send you a link to a website to assist you in completing your request though a “short code” text message verification code. Short codes are abbreviated phone numbers used to send text messages.
When you text the number provided by Equitable to receive the service, you provide your consent to receiving text messages from Equitable (or our service provider) in response, including responses generated through the use of an automated dialing system.
Assistance
Should you need any assistance, or if you believe a text message that you have received is suspicious, please reply HELP to this text message or call us at (866) 274-9887.
You will no longer receive additional messages from us unless you reach out to us by text message again to request a service. Also, we will not send you another text message if you text “STOP” or “UNSUBSCRIBE.”
Privacy
Your personal information obtained through the short code program will not be shared with any third-parties for their marketing reasons/purposes. To learn more about how we use your personal information, please review our privacy notice and our online usage policy.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply to text messages received or sent, in addition to any applicable roaming charges. Mobile carriers are not liable for undelivered or delayed text messages. For questions regarding your texting or data plans, we recommend that you contact your mobile carrier directly.
